HEADLEY PLAYERSHeadley Players logo

The group was formed by residents of Headley Park in south Bristol in 1953, at the time of the opening of the community centre.

For over 40 years Headley Players' productions have been some of the most imaginative and successful in the region.

Under the guidance of Terry Milton, artistic director since 1972, the group has gone from strength to strength, winning the British One Act Play Championship in 1990 with their celebrated and widely praised production of John Godber's Bouncers.  In the same period Headley Players have won no less than ten Bristol Evening Post Rose Bowl awards.

Noted for the wide range of repertoire which they undertake - both dramas and musicals - Headley Players continue to provide some of the most striking drama to be found on local stages.

Our next show is a brand new production of the classic tale, "The Wind in the Willows".  With a cast of 40, this joyous musical recounts the exploits of Ratty, Mole, Toad and Badger and is sure to be a wonderful treat for the whole family.
